Power Management
Rover TT is a fully sealed, self-powered solution for tracking trailers or other assets that may be without any electrical power permanently or for very long periods. Due to its ultra-low current design, Rover TT is able to operate for up to 5000 GPS position reports or 7 years. (Based on 1 GPS report per day) Rover TT can be programmed to periodically report its position, thereafter entering its deep sleep mode to conserve battery life until its next programmed reporting time. If desired, its built-in accelerometer can wake it from deep sleep upon sensing movement, whereupon it will assume a second programmed GPS reporting schedule. Once movement ceases, it will resume its deep sleep schedule. The unit’s Lithium Ion rechargeable battery is field replaceable, making Rover TT appropriate for multi-year asset tracking deployments.
Durability
Rover TT features a fully sealed enclosure that meets Military Specifications Standard IP-67, allowing for rugged to be mounted externally for use in all types of non-powered applications.
Field Serviceability
Rover TT employs GPS Commander’s industry leading over-the-air programming and maintenance engine that allows our Support Team to remotely monitor unit health status, deploy automatic upgrades, re-configure GPS reporting characteristics or trouble shoot units over-the-air. This ensures that optimum performance will be achieved and that changing customer requirements can be met without de-installation.
Performance
Rover TT employs state-of-the-art design and manufacturing techniques to increase performance. With 50 Channel GPS capability, 3 Meter WAAS accuracy and high-sensitivity receiver technology, the unit delivers outstanding GPS reporting accuracy. Its internal GPS and Cellular antenna design (external antennas are optionally available) simplifies and accelerates installation, while reducing tampering.
Low Cost of Ownership
Rover TT provides the lowest cost of ownership in the trailer tracking industry, with 14 year life expectancy and a very low initial capital cost. Coupled with the GPS Commander low frequency Trailer Tracking Plan, total cost of ownership including initial capital cost, an additional replacement battery after 7 years and the monthly data and tracking service for 14 years averages just over 50 cents per day! The GPS Commander Tracking Portal brings Rover TT’s capabilities to bear for asset managers with real-time and historical tracking, reporting and alert features that are highly configurable.
